Well, games are more active mentally and physically. I think that's makes them better for you than just watching movies.

Side note. These things work shockingly well. So well that anyone who gets one ends up taking it down because there are too many dead beetles to process. Which means the beetle situation is dire.

The problem is some people can't balance entertainment and life. This isn't unique to gaming as we had this problem with TV, cell phones and the internet. Most times it is because parents are using games as a babysitter, and they don't impose time limits.

I get this. I've seen my son display amazing leadership in online games. But it doesn't translate to the real world. As his parent, I've been frustrated by not knowing how to bridge the gap.

Same could be said of any hobby. You get what you want to get out of it. If you just want to do it for fun then do so.... if you want to achieve a degree of skill mastery than do that.
