Forget Venezuela, the whole of Europe has health care systems that dont bankrupt its patients. Something is fundamentally wrong with the US healthcare system.

This will end quickly when 'Upfront Medical Costs' are exposed. I think there will be competitive pricing or people will just walk out.

US has the best healthcare system in the world. Unfortunately, the costs are often artificially inflated. Because of this massive cashflow it is the most advanced (lots of investment in RD and latest technology) ;otoh -often not affordable.
