There is this thing called progression. The way things are going all over the world the big collapse is inevitable unless the system it self is changed away from consumerism. Driving force to all that is money creation it self.

Saying it should not be about ethnicity is (to me) like saying choosing your wife should not be about ethnicity (ethnicity is the largest but not only component in my decision). A country is an extension of a family and how the worlds countries are/have organized prove this.

I strongly disagree - a better society can be built on a simple rule-of-thumb immigration policy. A first-world-ethnicity-only immigration policy like the White Australia Policy is one such example, to which Australia owes its fast development and standard of living.

It should not be based on overall numbers. It should be based on benefit to the current citizens. Importing uneducated, low IQ people who do not share our values has zero benefit.

Stupid True Conservatives think that legal immigration is just fine even if it totally changes the demographic nature of the country. This is yet another reason they have never conserved anything.
