Europe was devastated after WWII, nukes made war with USSR very difficult, and so we stood by, a generation of people enslaved/killed by communists. What is more amazing to me is the fact that so many people in Europe and USA love communism even though it was worse than Nazism

The irony: By defeating the nazis, Russians saved Poles from certain genocide by the same nazis, who pretended that the lands toward the east were somehow their lebensraum and that Slavic nations were somehow untermensch.

General Patton was correct about the Russians. He should have kicked them back to where they came from!

Ironically ,Germanys invasion of Poland was the reason for Britains declaration of war on Germany , it was Churchill’s intention to destroy the British empire ‘s rival once and for all

WWII taught us a valuable lesson in military strategy: invading Poland is only bad when you invade from the West. Hitler should have gone through Hungary and attacked from behind and everything would have been fine. #60MillionSaved
