Who else thinks Trump's win in the US is bringing hope and change to the rest of the world?

I am on a train that entered France in the last hour... they had to throw alot of people off, was not a pretty site or what I expected on my first trip to Europe.

Entered France from where?

They stopped before the French border, a officer of some type came checking passports and they threw out 5 from our cabin at the first french stop. I'm new to Europe, so I'm baffled but a French man told us they were refugees

Not really, the RN being first pretty much was to be expected. Macron's score were IMO actually very impressive. The big loosers are the old establishment socialists and republican parties, as well as the far left if anything.

The greens placing 3rd is also a big surprise considering they were only a minor coalition party until then. The results confirmed the results of the presidential election if anything. I'm not hopeful for my country.

When you realize that France's right wing party is still far left by any sane metric, you understand how much more work there is to be done.
