Voluntarily going an experience in someone else's culture out of your own curiosity is not forced association. But then I'm not sure that that this is a definition of modern multiculturalism.

Well it is in my neck of the woods. No one is forcing me to get to know my neighbours - but our lives are certainly enriched when we do. The local mosque had an open day - it was great.

Forced association happens by degree all the time. It's not forced association that's the problem since it always happens by degree. This critique falls apart in its dichotomous form. Need a better one to reject things that are obviously a problem.

I've been thinking about that for awhile. Not sure where to stand about it.

Ownership is a form of usury, return to the empathic ancient models, allodium being the true utilization method of the land. To utilize land with neighbours you must establish a unilateral bond of behaviour, that they accept, before utilisation.

Well, isn't monoculturalism then also a form of forced association, if you force people to live that way?

For those that don't get it. It's like this. Imagine you are in a bar and you have freedom of drink but you have to drink whatever the bartender gives you and you can't refuse any drink. That is forced drinking ( forced association)

You spout a lot of crap Stefan. I live in a multicultural community. No one forces me to mix with anyone - but oddly enough my life is better when I get to know my neighbours and the other parents at my local school.

Multiculturalism in my opinion is by definition divisive. It separates by cultural identity instead of bringing under one culture, a National culture.

I find each culture separates themselves creating cliches towns; China town, Greek town, Little Italy etc. People need to identify nationally through honoring the pledge of allegiance.
