    A compromise to leftists: I am willing to have immigration laws as strongly - or weakly - enforced as tax laws. No enforcement of immigration laws = no collection of taxes. You can open the borders if you close tax collection agencies.

        That's weird. Arent the rightests against tax laws? So wouldnt the equal be no immigration laws = no tax laws? So wouldnt that be the perfect compromise?

        There is always a bit of nuance I reckon. I think my life benefits when we all are doing ok - and if my taxes can contribute to that, I'm ok with it. Research shows that there are a lot of benefits to everyone's health and well-being when here is less inequality.

        I agree in the most part, but when i hear people who want open borders it drives me mad! We already have a health service, school system, emergency services who are stretched to the brink.

        I don't pay taxes for the feel-goods. I pay them so I am protected from threats outside and inside our jurisdiction. That's the theory anyway...
