I’m not sure of the issue here Stefan? She was carrying another couple’s child. Having been pregnant 4 times prior with her own children she was worried she (and her family) would be too attached but was grateful she wasn’t since it wasn’t her baby.

This is a very bizarre statement...it’s the beginning of no love or compassion for humanity in general. The very cutting of the cord of a mothers protection of their young. Correct me if I am wrong but every female mammal has this bond with its young. Very Amphibian of her.
