Also, because I was a stay-at-home mom, I was able to take care of my husband after he was hit by a truck & suffered a brain injury. The great lawyer I hired made sure workers comp paid a majority of his salary and I was able to participate in 2+ yrs of in-patient neuro rehab.

(1/2)My mom raised me to "never rely on a man, you need to work and support yourself." I believe she felt that way because her father and the men she dated/married were not reliable. They were not good men. It was tough for me to let that go until I met my husband...

(2/2)...He showed me that I didn't have to be superwoman and do it all by myself. I never realized how happy I could be as a woman, staying at home, supporting my family in that way. Finding a man with good morals/values is what makes it all possible.

In a community property State 50% of everything he makes belongs to her! Only problem is he's not allowed to be her boss. When he gets home house work isn't done, people believe he does not have a right to complain. If they have a spectacular sex life well she earned her money!

Slave labor? I thought it was home making. My wife has never complained about it.

I stayed home. My husband was able to do his job uninterrupted, get promotions & make more money. He didn't 'take his turn' with a sick child or go to pediatrician appt. I also ran errands for him so when he came home, he relaxed with his son. I was a wife/mom, not a slave.

If women didnt stay home, how much would men pay for childcare, cooking, cleaning, running errands like grocery shopping, laundry...etc??

You are welcome to ask my wife if she believes that she is a slave or was one, when she was raising our kids....I am sure answer will be no and that it was her privilege....

Bad argument. Slaves were fed and looked after.
