Paid family leaveeeeee
-
-
-
Paid by whom?
-
The employer.
-
And the employer has money because the employees do work. When employees aren't working, but are getting paid, the employer loses money. So, employer reduces salaries to save up for the leave. "Employer paid" is a convenient fiction to hide costs.
-
No costs to hide. They come out of the employer's side. And if paid family leave goes anything like raising the minimum wage in states and cities, your fiction will not bear out:https://bloom.bg/2B01HXJ
-
Also, this study is discussing productivity, not how many people actually have jobs. Cities that have implemented sharp minimum wage increases have experienced job losses, meaning less people do the same amount of work. Of course productivity is up, that's what productivity is.
-
Study of "138 U.S. states and regions where minimum pay was increased" found "the overall number of low-wage jobs remained essentially unchanged during the five years after minimum-wage increases." Nowhere does it say "less people do the same amount of work."
-
The pay-productivity graph in the reporting that I believe you are referring to shows the increasing gap between workers’ salaries and the value of their work, not less workers doing more work.

Bearing and raising children is far more important than anything any working woman has ever done in her professional career in the entire history of mankind. Wives and mothers who devote themselves to family are a national treasure, and are essential in a civilized society.

Hahaha Hahaha yeah right

If women are paid less than men for the same job, employers would hire mostly women and get rid of expensive men.
