From personal experience, when you go through a rape kit at the hospital, they offer you a pill on the spot. I declined. Getting rid of the evidence doesn't change the fact a crime was committed against me. Luckily I did not become pregnant, but as a rape victim, I turned it down

Hmm, I wonder if there was a spike in reports of rape in the UK when changes to the benefits system meant a new third child wouldnt result in an increase of money unless there was "extenuating circumstances" got me some homework to do.

Would an allegation of rape automatically create an offence of rape for the police to investigate, including DNA testing of the fetus? If the woman recanted after the abortion, would she have committed perjury or (2nd degree?) murder?
