As an agroecologist I am not concerned about variations at the N or S Pole. My concern is food producing land in BC. According to the BC Ministry of Forests temperatures in the Kamloops region have risen 1C & Central Interior almost 2C

        2) As year round temperatures in BC's dry belt warmed 1-2C successive plagues of Tussock Moths, Spruce Budworms & Mountain Pine Beetles survived warmer winters over a 30 year period to devastate vast areas of forest . Now wildfires consume the tinder & very dry live forests too.

        3) Because of a dryer, warmer climate much of the BC Interior forest land will become grassland, great for livestock & some grains. Where there is enough moisture trees will grow faster due to the longer growing season & help by sequestering more CO2, but forest jobs will be lost

Antarctica reflects most solar radiation because it is always white (albedo effect). So, there is very little IR radiating from the ground that would interact with the CO2 greenhouse effect. North pole is different because not always white. And it is warming there.

It is cherrypicking. I could just as easily cherrypick warm places. For the global climate, you need to look at long-term global trends. This is a map of how the winter climate has changed in the world. http://berkeleyearth.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/global-warming-since-1900-winter-northern.png …

If they cherry picked the data, show us specific locations in the same regions that show a significant temp increase. The stations they use span the entire country. That's a significant chunk of the arctic.
