Agree. It becomes a balancing act: The more imbalance you see pulling everything leftward, the more you want to move to the right to try to even it out. I used to consider myself a right-leaning centrist, but the more insanity I see, the more I move to the right to balance it.

The Left moved their center further and further to the left. Mainstream Dems are mocked for their lack of extremism. Meanwhile CNN, MSNBC and the like are constantly focused on the 27 "nazis" who claim to like Trump and calling them his base. CNN made something out of nothing.
