The point is they aren't actually very good writers at all lmao, they wrote the show into the ground without GRRM

I must admit the concluding episodes so far have been underwhelming.

They ain’t the best writers, Stef. GoT was great until George R.R. Martin left.

They have a bad habit nowadays of killing off the hero, and/or making a bunch of characters I don't give a damn about. So, I haven't bothered since the first season.

My take is that they are simply trying to finish all of the wonderful story arcs of these amazing characters too quickly due to time constraints and budget. This is why books are such a wonderful storytelling device! I still love the show though - even WITH its many flaws.

Too many story arcs to conclude this fast. Could have been many separate shows. Personally I would watch "Arya and The Hound: On The King's Road" for 10 seasons and be happy.

Same with many recent shows. That and women getting all the power...

Or the writers and show runners got bored with the show.

It’s hard to close down the storyline.

In contrast Freedomain Radio gets richer each episode like a fine vintage wine. Made with freshly squeezed reason and evidence and a dash of good argument. And Stefan is also dashingly handsome. Passion has started to stir in my bosom so I will stop praising him here.

Perhaps on some occasions that may be the case but more often it is because they continuously push the bar from the beginning and must constantly outdo the previous seasons. You see this with every show involving mythical creatures. Start with vampires, end with magical elves.
