They get all "Free Market" when it suits them. None of this has anything to do with moral virtue.

If a bakery is forced to do business against their beliefs, so should social media.

I always wonder about these so called conservatives, a free market requires controls to oppose monopoly and other forms of conspiracy against those seeking to work and participate in the market. Only monarchical, communist and socialist societies prohibit people from commerce.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Sure, they're not being principled. Why shoot them down when they're finally on the correct side?

There is also legal precedent against the Facebook banning- in short a woman was handing out pamphlets in a company town (everything was privately owned). The authorities arrested her for refusing to get a license to hand out the pamphlets -- eventually she won in Supreme Court

I remember that case: Marsh v Alabama Also see Heart of Atlanta hotel v US for similar standings on private companies , the commerce clause and public accommodation. Katzenbach v. McClung is another.

Twitter, Facebook, Google... All of these are owned by anti-free market wealthy people. We know this because they (e.g. Zuckerberg) are liberal Democrats. speech. They donate money to anti-liberty politicians. They don't get to claim a "private property" argument.

This is so painful to watch. Hate seeing this conservative infighting but some people are completely out to lunch on this issue.

Let's also factor in the these companies are subsidised by the government in way of legal protections. All of them would have gone out of business without the legal protections of the government. Facebook hosted the NZ shooting. Not to mention countless other murders.
