Take the hyperbole down a notch. The more they go after one side, the more people will leave their platform. FB is not a necessity for existence or information and can easily go the way of Myspace.

True, It's not a necessity. But it, and the other platforms that have banned these individuals, are the major sources of information in the world, today. Do not underestimate their influence.

And yet you'll hardly hear people espouse an idea that wasn't spoonfed them by their favorite media station. These are powerful companies with enormous social influence. Their effects are already incredible. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention.

This situation exists for all media: radio, TV, film, etc. Regulation tends to consolidate power for these large entities. Until deregulation in the 80s we didn't have more than three major TV stations. The State will only make it worse
