The fact that under socialism the gov't has all the rights, that indicates what the government considers people to be....property.

But, but, but Stefan.. those who crave socialism don’t want to grind and put the hard work in to own property and instead simply want other people’s stuff to compensate for their own incompetence

Communist/Socialism doesn't mean that the property belongs to all people as they called. In fact, the property belongs to the man who has the power. So, Communist/Socialism is cheating. the power man uses the property to hiring the PLA army who killed Chinese people indeed.

No they don’t; all human rigjts come from the fact that I am alive; &my survival is not given.I have therefore no right 2demand another live his or her life in support of mine,& vice versa. From that pronciple comes the right2self-defense, right2private property, free speech, etc

of course there isn't one person in the US against property rights but go through the exercise anyway....
-
Respectfully, do we need a distinction here... everyone is FOR the rights to THEIR OWN property.

I agree with that...I thought that way after I read John Locke's "Second Treatise of Civil Government"

I understand Thomas Jefferson wanted to put “pursuit of property” in stead of happiness. The Founders understood the tyranny of large landowners, and royalty. We are losing that dream with too big of houses, tax/mortgage interest, no gardening, and relying on corporate farming.
-
It was, "Life, Liberty and Property." But your argument on why it was changed is flawed. Not a single founder would have ever advocated for govt limits on property ownership. In fact, you can trace all the REAL problems you mention to govt intrusion into everything in life.
-
And here is Thomas Jefferson concern about excessive wealth in the hands of a few. http://press-pubs.uchicago.edu/founders/documents/v1ch15s32.html …

All these Libertarian dodge attempts to avoid acknowledging that the bank owns your house, your car, and so much more. This is the condition in which the majority of us live.

I think we americans have less property rights than we think we do,just paid our property taxes on 2 houses that are paid off and rightfully ours, but if we dont pay the tax,the government can take the houses from us,which are worth infinitly more than the tax

Agreed. In the US I would argue that as long as property can be taxed we don’t have property rights. If you don’t pay your property taxes the state can take it away.
