The lie that wealth is only ever stolen, never created, is destroying the world. It breeds rage and violence, and makes every poorer person susceptible to being drafted by sophists into the dark army of petulant and seething resentment. Strike at this lie, and save the world.

If wealth could only be stolen, not created: the total volume of wealth could never be increased. In reality, poor Americans today live more luxuriously than Kings did 200 years ago. The only wealth that is stolen is taken by the state in the form of tax and inflation. Otherwise, one form of wealth is traded for another form of wealth for an agreed upon price of exchange.

Couldn't agree more. I've been in and out of homelessness trying to improve myself because I didnt want to settle earning single digit dollars an hour and on top of that for a Company that perpetually lied to me. Instead, I decided to take control of my future and up my game.

It's no accident that a modern liberal college education produces scores of graduates without skill valuable enough to even pay for it. Economic contribution itself is under attack because success and wealth are taken as evil. Termites, eating away at freedom and prosperity.

I’ve been seeing this so much in capitalism is evil threads. It’s actually scary how people link high land and housing prices to “capitalism” and how it is “stealing” from them.....

You're describing the primary lie being used to destroy South Africa. It was used very successfully in Zimbabwe to gain support and power, but the result was probably not exactly what they had hoped for.

The sophist does not want to educate people to make them better. He wants to avoid an argument by having his opponent ostracized.

In the age of universal unemployment, saying wealth is created will be a revolutionary act. But we'll all be safe due to every single thing being regulated from cradle to grave.

It's been obvious to me for a long time that wealth has to be created. It seems that notion was strong in Australia 50 yrs ago, alas not now. Our nation was once a highly successful nation. It is still hanging in there, but petulance and resentment are both growing.

Wealth is not a zero sum game. I've tried telling people this but their envy of others blinds them. Also their entitlement and laziness prevents them from actually exploring this fact.

“Settlers stole the land” is the biggest lie ever invented. Done by flailing political parties with nothing else to offer but empty promises.

Nations & companies are substitute tribes with which nature, i.e evolution, intended us to share. Question is, how large should income/wealth differentials within the same tribe (nation, company) be allowed to be? #contrapot

That wealth/income differentials in most countries are without limit & quite grotesque, shows them to be mercenary "patron states" deceitfully posing as nations, in order to legitimise themselves, their ruling elites & the immense power they wield & abuse.https://twitter.com/rogerahicks/status/1109784291960082432 …

#TheMatrix of state & capital is a web of lies, deceit & a regime of rewards & intimidation. Everyone who in anyone in society, with any wealth, power or social status, is well rewarded for their loyalty to it, which involves not recognising it for what it is. pic.twitter.com/XgMssqpqSL
