  Absolutely heartbreaking but not surprising as the leaders of the west seem to hate the area they are in charge of. Guess they'd prefer if we went back 600 to 700 years when the individual had zero worth and we just nodded yes to our "betters".

  This seems to herald the end of Christianity and western civilization. Even as one of the greatest relics of western civilization is razed, the outrage minimal and many are greatful for the opportunity to modernize and globalize the site. Shocking.
