I think Plato is the most important thing to read in ancient philosophy but do you not think it is a little beyond the ken of the layman?

Plato was a mouth piece for the 30 Tyrants. Whats so great about him? I bet much wiser men than he was lived back then. I imagine like so many works of art and literature their works were lost to history if they weren't copied and recorded in Platos work and other surviving workpic.twitter.com/mLPIpGGMNY
