Most people won't end up the target of counter intelligence investigations, though. And doesn't this suggest that the threshold for charges is fairly high? I mean does anybody think they wouldn't have charged the President if they possibly could?

My family and I got investigated for 10 months on the strength of a false allegation from a teenager. Lost my career, my job, my community, most of my friendships. Was later cleared, but by then the damage was done. The goal of these things is rarely justice. It's revenge.

Yup. The sad reality is that it only takes a lie being spoken in public for it to take a life of its own. Many do not hv ability to truly think critically or even know what it means. The heard mentality is getting greater bc of social media.
