Software engineer here. The charge is completely ridiculous. There’s no way their system works is as negligent as described in the court proceedings.
They got at Assange on conspiring to help crack a password to gain access. He is alleged to have done more than just encourage and receive.

The documents seem to indicate that they were using active directory authentication without any form of 2FA, didn’t use a TPM, didn’t lock the bios, and used shared machines.

It should worry everyone the fact that if you post/release anything that the US government really does not want public, it does not matter who you are or where your from. They are coming for you, & the people will cheer them for catching u, That is any free persons nightmare.
