Too soon, they would lose all their leverage before this episode is seen out.
-
I agree. But I've toyed with the idea a wee taste of what *could* come down might have a positive effect. And I would add that should Assange be harmed or worse - by anyone - more will be released proportionally.

Agreed. Cloak and dagger, slow releasing of information, is a CIA game. Time allows cover ups, it allows blackmail, it allows controlled-media to craft a narrative. Wikileaks needs to drop everything at once and overwhelm the system.
-
I'd do it in three allotments ordered in severity. Release the lowest priority immediately and threaten to release the rest if they don't comply within x amount of time. If they don't comply then release second to show them you're not joking. Then release the secret one.
-
I understand what you are saying but Wikileaks is dealing with a superior force. In military tactics when an opponent has you outmanned and outgunned, you shouldn't split your forces... you will get overrun. A large powerful punch of information will make any opponent think twice

America's enemies have it all. Americans might as well know what we've been and are up against.

Julian is quoted saying they don't sit on leaks but they have to audit leaks as some contain seriously dangerous information. They altered the VAULT 7 leaks slightly for example to prevent script kiddies from just copying and pasting code or leaking things like IP addresses, etc.
-
The insurance files are files that are yet to be audited and are simply a last resort in case of emergency. Assange still has a trusted team out there and it's not quite an emergency yet because Assange likely hasn't given them any information.
-
If he's extradited however this could be considered an emergency. The US has a history of using torture as a method of getting information out of people, well with in violation of the UN human rights treaty. We're just going to wait and see.
