There has been some decline in intelligence due to selection. About a point a generation, probably for the past two or three generations. Woodley's claim that there has been a 1-std decline since Victorian times is nonsense.

I know the state of math and theoretical physics then and now: if there had been a real 1-std drop in IQ, both would have collapsed. Hasn't happened. Contrariwise, average guy in 180-should have found trig easy. They did not.

That is an argument. He shldn't have to spell evrything out for you. 2~3 gens is 50~90 years ago. Victorian era ended ~120ya. If it can b shown IQ dropped 1pt/gen for past 2~3gens, then Woodley is arguing that IQ dropped 3/4-std in like one generation.
