Automation has been an ongoing thing since the industrial revolution, whilst some jobs die out, new jobs are created. It has nothing to do with immigration and for most western nations immigration is desperately needed to maintain or exceed current economic growth.

I’m not familiar with South Africa’s particular problems regarding immigration but I would hazard that a lot of it would be from Zuma’s piss poor policies which, as I understand and correct me if wrong, we’re most populist for black voters & failed to address many economic issues
