That's not even the worst of it, the health problems obesity brings to the table are very real. It's not just a body image thing, people need to perceive it as a very serious illness.

Is it acceptable that she will cost a lot of money and resources payed for by taxpayers that could be avoided? This glorification of obesity is not healthy, where is the celebration of taking responsibility of your own life and doing the hard work of bettering oneself?

If shaming causes a person to change then it would be acceptable to cruelly make fun of those with mental health issues in order to get them to comply with the norms of society. As far as this weight issue, I am not referring to someone 20 or 30 lb overweight, I'm talking about
