I strongly dislike cats

How about married people, with cats?

I know a few of these cat ladies. They are miserable women who grow old alone. Rather than being in the arms of a protective, loyal, loving man or ever having the joy of being around their grand children, they scoop cat litter and sweep up hairballs.

You can't be "inactive" and own cats. Not if you want to keep your house.

I'm not getting this. I was much more ACTIVE before I got married and had kids.

I'm a guy who is married & had 4 cats & 1 dog (got the dog last), now we are down to 2 cats & 1 dog. Cats are much easier to just leave & be able to go do stuff without having to worry. Once all of our animals pass, I want a break for a while & I won't ever get another dog.

My wife & I live in the St. Louis metro, a 4-6 hour drive from quite a few major cities. We've never been to those cities together because we have a dog and can't just randomly drive there when we feel like it on the weekend. That's why I'm never getting another dog.

But there are inactive people who are significantly happier once they have a cat.
