In 1300, England had 23 murders per 100,000 people, similar to Brazil in 2012. By 1500, England had 15 murders per 100,000, on par with Mexico in 2014. By 1950, England was down to less than one murder per 100,000 people.

1950's, USA and England came very close to the utopian paradise the elites claim they wanna produce for everyone.

What is the process for computing per capita murder rates for medieval England? I doubt 90% of modern statistical data let alone numbers from 800 years ago.

I studied medieval England in a number of degree courses, one of which required me reading through the calendar of state papers (for naval matters) and I can confidently tell you that this statistic is next to useless.

Would be interesting to throw in Napoleon, WW1, WW2, and other wars in that time period assuming that criminals were often conscripted/drafted.

Stefan... It WAS the guns... NOW it IS the knives... And pointy things. And blunt things.. And Social Media HATE Speech (even if factually true), where grandmothers get sent to prison... Not since Serfdom have people bowed to their killers!

It's too bad someone didn't write a book about controlling people through controlling their language back about 1984... or well, what you going to do. LOL

I don’t believe people were properly tracking murders or crimes then and I don’t believe they’re properly tracked now.

And yet guns were banned anyways. Nothing to stop an out of control state from implementing authoritarianism now.

The statistics improved between 1300 and 1500 because they put in an Assault Rifle ban! I heard that from @AOC.
