In Norfolk, between 1500 and 1630, middle-class families had twice the number of children as poor families. Generally, more intelligent people had more babies. Since IQ is 80% genetic, this fertility of intelligence laid the foundations for our modern world.

Funnily enough, the breaking of the clan system in Anglo-Saxon England by the implementation of marriage laws preventing one from marrying closer relatives is also thought to have resulted in a general rise in intelligence via the elimination of incest.

Then the Welfare State arrived and suddenly intelligent people had to spend less time having babies and more time paying taxes to pay for lower IQ types to have babies instead. And that's why we are where we are now.

The left constantly tells us the poor stay poor because of underfunded schools, and they lack opportunity because of lack of education. The second you say the wealthy might be overall smarter than the poor, they call you crazy.

I’m not a sure they actually had more babies. It is more likely that the babies of the more wealthy had better survival rates.

It's also about entire species, not individuals. Humans survive like we do because we are a social, cooperative species. Not because random douches delight in cruelty. They could not survive without us.

It's really not. A single being evolving is the last of its kind. Human beings require community.
