Twitter will do this no matter who you follow. I think it has to do with not using your phone number to sign up. They really want your info.

Yes it is, all new Twitter accounts following any wrongthinker including President Trump get locked in less than 5 minutes, then force you to enter a phone number to get unlocked. Trust me on this, I tried many times.

This is there way of collecting everyone's cell phone numbers under the guise of verifying accounts.

Na it's common for nearly every new account. I just opened this account and before i followed anyone "controversial" I got locked out and had to verify my account via text and email

That is correct. Mine is that way, and I pre-authenticated my profile. It seems to have bugged whatever code they have for you, because it asks me to authenticate, but, since I already have, every time i post ANYTHING, i have to re-authenticate You will probably be banned soon

I got suspended when I made my 2nd account after following a couple ppl. It suspected that I was a bot and was spam following accounts

It does explain why my account randomly and unprovokedly gets locked.
