It was a new tax bill (per Justice Roberts’ revision) that originated in the Senate rather than the House. That alone made it unconstitutional.

The activist judge in this case was John Roberts, when he decided the fee was a tax and ruled the law constitutional anyway. It was never constitutional.

It should have been called ObamaCAID. It was mostly just an expansion of Medicaid, with huge up front subsidies by the feds that phased out. A gimmick.

There are married "children" still on parent's insurance. Adult children with children of their own still on parent's insurance. All declining insurance provided by the employer because the law says that mom and dad can keep them on their insurance.
