Words are symbols of course but equations, math do not have the existence in some exalted realm of truth. They are just symbolic attempts to describe the activities of forces in the universe. Ultimately every thing is a symbol of/for something else.

Math is probably the best definition of truth that we could ever have.

I think that is correct within the context of the numerical system used by you earthoids. But on on my home planet we have BIGGER NUMBERS! Way bigger. And we dispensed with the idea of "zero" because it is annoying.
