Love is not an involuntary response to anything; it’s a choice.
The moral argument for integrity in relationships is simple: Love is our involuntary response to virtue, if we are virtuous. We cannot love those our values define as evil/immoral. Either they change, or our values change, or there is no real relationship. That’s the “cult.”

That's a man-only (and abstractly thinking man at that) perspective. For the others, love is an emotion aiding a temporary convenient union on the biological level to take place (so long as it serves their socio-biological purposes).

Agreed. The problem is, what if - in the case of Peaceful Parenting. I consider myself a Peaceful Parent, though I have no relationship with my daughter - assuming she was mine, I was denied a paternity test - I signed my Parental Rights away long ago. So, it's a form of neglect?

Is virtue voluntary? I believe we CAN love those who we define as evil/immoral. Therefore, voluntarily choosing to hate is not virtuous. Rising above difference to choose to work towards a common goal through shared survival of humanity IS virtuous. You say hate ok? Not me.
