Or vote for the guy who promised to pull out of Syria and Afghanistan, lock her up and build the wall while crying "Paul Ryan blocked me" We are not winning now with all these broken promises laying all over the floor.

How do u propose we deal with the enormous issues we ll b facing in a few years from automation? Or should corporate owners keep all profits and the rest tough luck?
-
When prices drop by half over the course of the next 30 years, you'll understand why the Fixed Pie fallacy and zero-sum labor arguments are silly.

Indexed for inflation, common consumables like beer haven't really gone up much generationally, and with the exception of housing in many metro/high value areas, the rest are only happening because government is driving inorganic increases through market manipulation

Bless the hearts of the folks who think UBI will magically deliver them free money without equal and opposite inflationary expansion that nullifies the benefit. But the vast majority of people are economically ignorant, so I guess it's a good political strategy on Yang's part.

The VAT is a political loser and he should dump it, but he has captured the mood of a very cynical public, crushed by an economy that increasingly rewards capital > labor.
-
It rewards labor that is scalable or is rare commodity- ie pro athletes, entertainers. If you have skill that is in demand you can command a higher wage. So look for fields that need workers. Many do not require college degree
-
That's true too, and both factors are driving income/wealth inequality.

Check out David Stockman's take on a VAT on consumption, but it must be coupled with the ELIMINATION of payroll, capital gains and corporate taxes aka production. Yang doesn't say this 2nd part from what I've heard so far.https://davidstockmanscontracorner.com/now-comes-the-fiscal-year-from-hell/ …

VAT vs Sales tax...seems that the argument here is that IF taxes must exist, then lets tax consumption instead of productivity.https://www.investopedia.com/terms/v/valueaddedtax.asp …
