I keep mixing up my diet, but it seems very hard to permanently change the diet you grew up on - does anyone else have that experience?

Italian here, been eating lots of carbs all my life. Started keto 6 months ago and I've been able to stick with it just cause it makes me feel good. Still miss pasta and bread a lot :)

You have to be a non conformist & its not you its the people around you. Food is a form of social interaction. Marketers thoroughly understand this concept & use it to socially engineer dietary behavior. People want to feel comfortable around you when engaged in the ritualpic.twitter.com/vfWBEtGCex

Changed diet 2.5 years ago. Now I only eat raw meat. It has changed my life. Will never eat plants again.

I love pasta and so does my body and mind. Waiting for the study circuit to come back around and declare it the miracle food.

But it won't. Cereal grains are proving worse and worse for our species, especially since they are doused in glyphosate now. Cereal grains are the number one 'foods' to avoid. Sugar contains no nutrients. It can be used, in tiny amounts, to make other foods

I have been suspecting celiac disease may be an outcome of glyphosate

Yes, it is very much in the running as a contributory cause of the sudden upsurge in cases of coeliac disease and all other autoimmune disorders. Wheat has been doused in glyphosate at least twice by time harvest time, for 20 yrs, and I recently read that all oats are doused too.

Luckily I gained a healthy love of vegetables from having good parents. That said...I will eat pasta and bread until I croak given half a chance.

Yep is is difficult but I have found a carb free diet works best. Steak and bacon for breakfast! For me, it is more sustainable than any other diet.

You may already be aware but at the top end of sports nutrition they use genetic profiling to figure out what kind of food you can utilize the best, create the enzymes for etc. White Europeans iirc is more the keto/paleo/carnivore type diet

I was raised on the typical 80s/90s diet. Carb heavy, was allowed to drink pop (soft drink). After about 1 year of moving out, I lost 12kg and have maintained the same weight (give or take a few kgs) for the last 17 years.

For some reason, I've always been an early adopter when it comes to diet. I was Paleo when it wasn't a "thing". Same with LCHF and Keto. The latest progression has been to full carnivore, from about a year ago. #CarnivoreDiet is the last logical stop. Best way of eating so far.

The key is knowledge. Only when you truly understand that a habit is bad for you, from how the bahaviour (point A) leads to the consequence (point Z) and all the points in between linking the two, does the effort to change drop to nearly zero. Eating is no different.
