70 - 80 % of IQ is genetically based. Of the studies I've seen, only around 10% of variance can be said to be caused by shared environment. I've been tested 3 times (13, 24, 30), and my score has been the same all 3 times. All signs point to IQ being a stable construct.
Still, as impressive as that may be, the evidence you are presenting is anecdotal and self-referential.
