Realized that at age 35 when I got my 2nd turnaround biz against many nay-sayers. A badly-designed, 3-year-old large downtown Wellington, NZ hotel was hemorrhaging $$. Spent $160,000 on renovations (in 1977) & produced a 5-month payback. Since then, I listen -- but do it my way.

I get tired of corrupt politicians & elites that only act with a conflict of interest. Theirs being advanced, the peoples' ignored.

... rather, Stefan means that if we hold positions that if we carry out do not impact us financially or personally, then talk is cheap. If someone insists troubled kids being bused to top-notch public schools but has their own kids in private schools... talk is cheap.

... if someone harps about banning all firearms but is so rich he lives in gated communities with armed bodyguards 24/7 (think Hollywood and some politicians), again, talk is cheap... such people don't need to own guns... they have the means to buy armed security.

And as I too get older, I care less and less to listen to people, any of them. Full stop. Haha!

This can be interpreted in many ways, but the way I interpret this is that you are unfortunately incentivized financially by misrepresenting what you actually think in order to appeal to an audience that would prefer to believe mistruths. Doesn’t need to be that way

Funny isn't it Syrian m Stefan as I get older I get less and less interested in so called intelligent people that just spout bigoted garbage all the time like some spoilt little child. So my advice to you is grow up

As a young Man in my early 60’s I love that statement. Easy to make rules that will not affect me personally. What comes with age is personal experience and wisdom from a lifetime of dealing with the vagaries of everyday life.
