When you tax corporations, you’re just taking away their ability to pay their employees well.

I have run businesses for over 35 years. What happens when corps are excessively taxed is 3 basic things, all bad: They reduce capital investments They reduce/stagnate hiring, pay and benefits They may relocate their headquarters for tax avoidance (See Burger King for that one)

When you tax families, you just take away their ability to feed their kids well.

LOL...employeers!? You mean shareholders. Shareholders would never let the employees get the bigger share on their behalf. They are in charge, sets the rules and cash in. Not employees....

Ask entrepreneurs here in Brazil and you’ll see how serious this is. It strangles small businesses

We must let completely unqualified people like @aoc spend our money.....only she may help us because she won.....even though most of us in the cheap seats do not want her help....because the need for it is based on exaggerated doom and gloom.

I think the argument that lower taxes mean higher wages is exaggerated, especially for public companies, since they are legally required to serve shareholders’ best interests. This is coming from someone who is absolutely for small government and lower corporate taxes.

BTW I'm in favor of introducing a low flat gross revenue income tax for both companies and individuals. This would help dramatically cut the red tape and stimulate business.

I believe in a sales tax rather than income. We tax things we don't want (i.e. cigarettes, plastic bags, etc.) We incentive things we do want like corporations in our cities. A national sales tax would be proportional to one's income, would incentive saving, and making money.
