Haha “start taxing the 1%” The rich already pay the vast majority of taxes in society. Steal and bribe, that’s all democracy ever devolves into.https://twitter.com/IlhanMN/status/1101167073089241088 …

It's time to start taxing the 1% instead of more giveaways to corporations paying $0 in taxes. ✅Marginal tax rate of at least 70% on income > $10 million ✅Estate tax ✅A #WealthTax of 2% on those worth > $50 million ✅3% on those worth > $1 billion https://www.forbes.com/sites/tedknutson/2019/02/27/house-budget-committee-chairman-raise-corporate-tax-rates/#1ef5a10b380f …

Given the 1% support Democrats, I say let them get what they support.

They never realise the "1%" can simply find another country to live in.... THEY have the MONEY and means for it.

Corporations make money by giving people goods and services they want and need. How can that be wrong or illegal?

A tax of the 1% is regressive at the elite level which will empower the 0.1% and 0.01% etc. Is that a good thing, to make the ultra-rich richer in comparison to the rich? I don't believe so. 1% is a lot of people, many of them are good people. Are the ultra-rich better or worse?

Let's not confuse individual income with corporate income. Google will tell you how many of the biggest corporation don't pay taxes on their corporate income. And you're right the rich few % pay the majority taxes, because their profit is bigger than the rest. And that's wrong.

That's a lie and you know it. The upper middle class pay the most taxes. Taxes can only be paid by people who generate more resources then they consume. Rich people consume more than they generate. Top 1%ers are money printers, the rich get way more from the gov't than they pay.
