The famine myth was/is perpetuated by socialists. It is a claim that encompasses not only WW2 period but the prior periods of famine. It ignores Brit efforts, ignores Brit efficiency with production & totally dismisses the effects of ENSO which is the cause of droughts.

True. In essence the lie pushed is that the famines faced in India was some evil plot by the Brits. It is built on ignoring a host of issues that caused it & attempts made to alleviate it by the Brits. Also ignores that those famines would still have occurred without the Brits!!

At the time of the famine we were losing a major ship every other day in the Indian Ocean. The place had it's rice crop ravaged by a typhoon. The peasants ate the planting rice. The Japanese took over Burma preventing rice imports. Muslim leaders profiteered instead of prepping.

There were famines in India before the British arrived. The British ended satee the forced suicide of widows.
