Why didn’t India use all of its wonderful gold to fund an industrial revolution BEFORE the whites came?https://twitter.com/swapnilad/status/1099187269032804352 …

Availability of capital is required to use it. Norway figured out which British copied. Industrialization followed invention of Capitalism...not other way around.

Because, prior to that, Arabs were building the foundation for the industrial revolution through chemistry, math, etc. Do you not understand that technological growth is incremental/over time, and not a sudden "aha, I have invented the internet out of rocks" kind of thing?

Are these the same Arabs that basically killed tens of millions of black slaves?

Because it was ruled by despotic monarchs who'd rather live lives of excessive luxury than 'fund' anything useful. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp.

It might be a surprise to you, but great inventions come from the support of the private sector, there is evidence showing that govement funding is less desired

In feudal monarchic states, there doesn't tend to be much of a 'private sector'. India was in that state, at the time. So you do the math.

I don't think it was a race thing. Whites won because thinkers like John Locke, Adam Smith and Voltaire won in their societies. The economic and personal freedom resulted in the wealth. Whites historically are no friend to liberty just like all other people. It's been a fluke.

In the history of our species, it's a relatively recent phenomenon, not a fluke. Important difference.

Serious question. Industrial revolution couldn't have happened without the Agricultural Revolution, agreed? I've always wondered why it took so long for high-IQ English to achieve AR? And why England rather than high-IQ France, Spain, Prussia, etc. Luck?
