I have this weird intuitive feeling that we're being groomed to associate "hate" with "crime" so that the leftists will someday be able to prosecute "hate" even in the absence of "crime". Perhaps we're already there in the Smollett hoax.

It's already happened, jews have convinced law makers to criminalize anti-Semitism and anyone that openly says that they don't believe that the holocaust happened, like it's been reported.

It’s the beginning of making intentions criminal.

A lot of criminals are indeed indifferent to their victims. Their motive could be greed, desperation, jealousy, or many other things. To say that you have to hate someone to commit a crime against them is false.

If I hit a straight man, it's battery, and carries appropriate consequence. If I hit a gay man, it's a hate crime and carries additional consequence. The whole concept of "hate crime" is to criminilize thought. Dangerous idea.

I mean that's one way to completely misunderstand the situation but I feel like you're smart enough to find something more esoteric and pointless while being the barest of technically correct.

Does
@StefanMolyneux not know what hate crimes are? If he's making a semantic point, he may look up what linguists call "the arbitrariness of language". Finally, he seems unaware of crimes motivated by, say, love, such as living as an lgbt couple where that is not allowed.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

All crime is based on hatred? That seems unlikely. I doubt if most stealing has anything to do with hatred, tho some might. Speeding? seems unlikely. Tax evasion? Embezzlement sometimes...but not always. Seriously, that was a rather broad statement that I don't think works.

Nothing more than giving special victimhood status to special classes of victim. Thus all the hoaxes.

“Really dislike you crime” is not quite as severe as “hate crime.” The difference is subtle but it’s there.
