It's a common issue with people in the colonies as well. Canadians, Australians, etc. They don't seem to understand natural rights.

Your distaste for developed nations and the power they wield is understandable. However, your premise that people should not have guns to defend themselves from others makes little sense. Also, the main purpose of the 2nd Amendment is protection from the government.
