there is a business that has operated for thousands of years, and is still operating to this day. It has had store fronts all over the world. White people stopped shopping there and have banned it in their countries. White people are to blame for it all...

Those who mine history for sins are not searching for truth but for opportunities to denigrate their own society, or for grievances that can be cashed in today, at the expense of people who were not even born when the sins of the past were committed: Thomas Sowell.

I'm afraid most of the correct answers here are what we can safely call "Inconvenient Truths" that don't fit well in most of your detractors agenda's

It seems to me the white populous is a pushover, at least moreso than other races. That’s why we’re relentlessly attacked. Because we allow them to, some of us even agree with them, it’s madness. We whites need to grow a pair and act as we know they would; hit back and hit hard.

Yes. We’re also responsible for the widespread slavery in the Western Hemisphere prior to 1492.

Not all slavery is the same. Within African tribes, a slave would eventually earn their freedom by being adopted by a family and becoming part of, and an equal member, of the tribe.

Whites are responsible for most of the intellectual and technological advances in the world. Can I still say that or is it against the law?

Renaissance Dutch banks financed trading ships to the New World, full of a free work force, nicely obtained from the Arab traders of Africa...no less strange as it is currently happening in Europe! I see a pattern there that seems to favor big business...

No they are not. The big issue here in US is in our education system it is washed over that famous white people in our history owned slaves, nor do they own up to the realities of what their ancestors did. YOU - Stefan, understand this but really a lot of the masses don’t.
-
We are taught American Exceptionalism but then when we are older have to face the realities of what actually happened, and some people just don’t want to do that and struggle to accept it. Same in ever culture too, not just US; but US promotes the beacon of hope and good thing.

Florence Italy, I cannot say the Vatican for sure and a lot of Columbus's work set the foundation for the transatlantic slave trade. Africa is a part but it seems to be the Middle East had been trafficking slaves as well until they left or were kicked out of Italy in the 1490s.
-
And the Spanish we're big slave traders too, conquistador is not a happy friendly title, the Jesuits were the military arm of the Vatican, they basically to the soften-the-natives, before the papacy came
