The great enemy of virtue is not evil, but sentimentality.

We wouldn't have truth if there wasn't lies. Lies are a good thing.

Like if you ask me how old I am. I can either tell the truth or lie to you. It's in the possibility that I might lie, that you seek the truth. Without that possibility, truth doesn't exist. It wouldn't have a label, be a concept, nor ever be thought about. It would be just being.

sentimentality = procrastination "can't cut the debt, can't close the border, because people will suffer!" but let's remind everyone of long-passed slavery 24/7 because we're already taxing whites, let's discuss colonialism because we're already giving billions in foreign aid

It's not that they are sentimental it's just that they hate America. They want to see America fall like the Roman Empire.

virtue only exists in the context of strong morals, the enemy would therefore be moral-relativism, which would create selective eratic conditional virtue, a most insidious deception

The greatest enemy of Virtue Signallers is having their virtuos claims being impartially debated and analysed by objective people in possession of real and substantiated facts. Hence the primary reason VSs avoid such scrutiny and open debate. Ideology and facts often conflict.
