Exactly, so insurance companies encourage healthy practices and preventive care. Socialist healthcare makes money from people getting sick, so it has no incentive to prevent that.https://twitter.com/JeffreyGAllan/status/1096130726490267649 …

In the health insurance industry profits are maximized by not paying for people's medical care.

The whole point of 'Socialist' healthcare is that IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY MONEY.

If that were true, wouldn't Americans be spending less per capita on healthcare cost rather than more compared to countries with universal coverage.

Exactly. Governments force citizens to pay taxes. Pharma companies then sell medication to government funded health programs at high prices. It’s big pharma forcing citizens to buy their products via the government.

What makes you think that just because healthcare is socialized that people will stop getting preventive health care?

Oh my god the idiocy, seems to be a big pocket, or what if we took the profit out of health care all together? The reason most Americans go bankrupt is health care! One accident away from bankruptcy, why so affraid? It's new? Don't like change? Universal health care is good

That is also what I mistakenly assumed. However, when Dr. David Janda made innovations to prevent sports injuries he was stridently opposed by insurance companies. An executive explained that they make a %, so higher costs are better for their bonuses!!!
