Republicans wanted $25 billion for the wall, they may be willing to accept $1.3 billion. That’s not compromise, that is capitulation. For an example of how it’s done, look at the IRS. Try “compromising” with them by paying only 5% of your tax bill. 🥵

Funny how you attack the GOP for a failed compromise when the Democrats said not one penny for the wall and that walls are "immoral." Seems to me that the Democrats came MUCH father than the GOP. Get a clue.

25 Billion to 1.3 billion?? So what will we be building this 1.3 billion dollar all with? Modular Shelving from Ikea??? Horrible , capitulation, and a sad reminder that nobody REALLY wants a wall. Democrats want cheap votes, Rhino Crony Republicans want cheap labor.

Wait... So you mean to say Trump isn't single handedly keeping the government shutdown going and that he made as many concessions as possible to reach consensus? But... That would mean the media is lying. Surely, that's not possible, right? /endof_sarcasm

25B is for the whole wall which won't be built in one year. The wall, like most items, will be funded on annual basis. This year's share is around 1.5B

More like a car loan. The first request was for $5b it'll cost less than $10b. The first appropriation (down payment) is for $1.3b and is not specifically for the wall but for border security. Future appropriations will #FinishTheWall and Mexico will ultimately cover the cost.

But now that he has received 1.3 the democrats can't use the "the wall is immoral" line anymore. Why did they fund an immoral wall at all? Every $ towards the wall is a great victory! He has time

How can the Dems now say the wall is ineffective or moral, when they funded it. I agree with @Styx666Official , that the Dems caved by giving even one dollar.
