Lets see. Private prisons profit off of free labor. These prisons form lobbies, and pay governmental officials. These officials in turn introduce legislation, such as mandatory minimums, that result in people going to prison for long periods of time for minor crimes. Good enough?

I don't "give" it money. Taxation is theft.

Taxation is, of course, theft. But on the give<-->take continuum we err, collectively, towards the give side. Resistance is minimal even within the limits of what is possible without risking bodily harm or imprisonment. This is Stockholm syndrome writ large.
