Slavery, in a sense promotes more slavery. Free labor is awfully hard to compete against in a market environment. Not a justification, but one could make the argument that it was an economic incentive at the time. Farms with slaves produced cheaply. Farms that didn't failed.

Taxes a necessary evil.
-
A "necessary evil" is simply that evil which is allowed to have its way.

Consensus was not an option as they were seen as a lesser being. You're seeing the relationship master-slave with a 21st C sight while back then was understood totally different imo.

Yes they did but that doesn’t mean anyone can make any claim against anyone for it today. Similar to a Muslim possibly not being a bad individual but holding bad beliefs they don’t fully understand. The ideas should be fought but the individuals may not be evil. Do you agree?

Yes, it was considered legal, acceptable, & biblically moral. It isn't today. Recreational drugs like marijuana & alcohol go round & round. Most consider RX drugs acceptable. Everyone condemns addiction; it needs treatment, not punishment. I don't think there's a comparison.

Taxation isn't theft. It's economy of scale. Everyone gives some, so that all can profit of it. Police, streets, fire fighters, etc.

For hundreds of years most people in Europe were serfs. Wasn't that just another word for slave?

which one is more moral? forcing law abiding citizens to pay for the basic needs of criminals, or to force criminals who victimized innocent citizens to work for their own basic necessities? both choices may have their ups and downs, but i know which one i'd prefer...
