The Twitter app works like that. You flick in and out of a Tweet thats on fire, you always get what the original values were when you go back into the tweet after resetting. Opening and closing the app sorts it out. It's not censorship. It's not silencing. Calm down.

But if it is refreshing to a more up to date data why do the numbers go down? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I think a lot of time that can be from Twitter culling accounts that have been identified as bot accounts as well in some situations or also adjustments in cases where they double count accounts on some servers/server failures to account but I'm not sure

But that's part of the problem, we can't know for sure. Those statistics are not available. I hope you are right, but with the shady ways in which youtube and twitter ban, demonetize or "shadowban" people I have very little trust left.

I’ve seen my own replies disappear. My twitter shows they exist, but they’re seemingly invisible on the tweet I replied to.

I get that happening too.

I’m about to get off twitter for good. First, hardcore double standards and now this. What’s next? It’s like they're trying to engineer a sterile online echo chamber where “wrong-think” is sifted out.
